An actor, writer, coach, podcaster, and all round creative.
As a child, I dreamt of being a "famous actor." Now, as a seasoned professional, I've come to understand that true success in this industry isn't about preconceived notions of success.
The notion of ‘success’ often gets tangled up with being well-known, which is perpetuated by the media only showcasing the minority of actors who seem to effortlessly move from one job to the next, racking up followers, awards and industry prestige in the process. But the reality of being an actor is far more complex.
I've experienced both the highs and lows firsthand. From walking the BAFTA red carpet being papped by Getty images, to going years without booking another role. I've learned that the path to success is anything but predictable.
I've appeared in critically acclaimed shows for the BBC and Channel 4 and played the lead role in feature films. I’ve also worked as everything from a nanny to a landscape gardener. I celebrated winning 25 Best Actress awards from worldwide film festivals while working as a waitress, found out the short film I co-starred in was nominated for a BAFTA while in the staff room working as a learning support assistant. I’ve had the best times of my life, and had other times with terrible bouts of mental health struggles.
The industry is full of uncertainties, and what most deem “success”, isn't guaranteed.
Hi! I’m Alexa Morden.
Through my own journey of discovering this, I've realized the importance of letting go of external definitions of success and finding fulfillment on my own terms. I want my time in this industry to be about more than chasing elusive milestones - I want it to be about joy, creativity, and personal growth.
But that’s not the message that is usually peddled in this industry. Which is why I've ventured into coaching, mentoring and supporting fellow actors. Drawing from my own experiences and knowledge and insight gained from other creatives and industry professionals, I offer relatable, accessible guidance tailored to your unique circumstances. There's no one-size-fits-all formula for success in acting, but together, we can make your journey as fulfilling and empowering as possible.
Thanks to the platform I feel privileged to have in The 98%, I have chatted to countless actors over the years. I was encouraged by many to take more of an official, professional route with my advice, tips, thoughts, experience, and pearls of wisdom I’ve picked up. When I started doing these sessions with actors I felt like I had found a culmination of my lifelong desire to help people, passion for acting, and enjoyment of teaching.

One of the many paythebills jobs I’ve had over the years! Leading children’s parties in fancy dress.
That time I thought I’d said goodbye to 98% life forever!
When I’m not working on my creative ventures you can find me doing arts and crafts, listening to true crime podcasts, spending time in the great outdoors, talking to my Mexican street dog rescue like he’s a person, writing, eating vegan donuts, or doing witchy stuff ✨
