Informed
With classical training, screen acting training in North America, 10+ years working professionally as an actor, and 6 years of co-hosting and producing The 98% podcast, I am excited to use all I have learned to share insight and support.
-
Person Centered
I believe you are a person first, actor second. You can only be the best actor you can be if you are able to find your best self first. You don’t have to prove anything here - let’s take the grind out of #actorslife and explore where you find joy instead!

supportive
98% of actors don’t earn their main source of income from acting work. I’m not here to sell you an idea of how you can fast track to stardom, I know the realities, and hardhships, of this industry and take a supportive, realistic and aspirational approach tailored to you.
How you’ll feel
“I felt very safe and inspired during our session”
-Leah, actor
“I feel well prepared to tackle my next steps going forward”
-Gill, actor
what is my approach?
Actor training, drama schools and acting programmes are vital for honing our craft, as all parts of us are our tools as actors. However, the reality of the profession often involves much more than rehearsing lines and performing. We come into the industry hoping for rehearsal rooms and set trailers, table reads and red carpet appearances. But a lot of the time it can look like sending multiple emails out into the abyss, submitting self tapes you never hear a response from, trying to find a job to pay your bills that doesn’t suck out your soul, feeling like everyone else is doing better than you, and the occasional existential crisis.
I've experienced the life of putting everything else on hold to constantly chase, in sheer desperation, the need to validate my worth as an actor. But over time, I've learned the importance of maintaining my mental well-being and making the most out of being an actor and those times I am working, instead of worrying about having to prove anything. I no longer rely on external validation for my self-worth, which in turn has made me a better actor.
Through my own journey, I've gained valuable tools and insights that I want to share with others in the industry. Whether it's refining your craft or navigating the realities of the #actorslife, working on your frame of mind around the industry, or taking steps to open doors to opportunities, I'm here to support you in feeling empowered and equipped to pursue your goals with tangible next steps, and a pride in your work and what you have to offer.
In an industry that most often emphasises fame, accolades, and recognition, it's important to remember that your worth isn't defined by your resume or connections. Let's focus on building your skills and mindset so you can thrive authentically in this industry, regardless of whether the spotlight has landed on you yet or not. I want to help you work on your skills and mental framework so that you can take steps in this industry that align with your best self.
how do we get there?
Some of the things I like to work on with clients are:
Detaching self worth from the industry
Boosting confidence and self belief
Realistic, tangible steps to make career progress that are unique and personalized to you
Working on acting technique in a heart centred way. (I’m not a casting director or an industry professional you need to ‘impress’. I’m here to remind you of why you want to act in the first place - to have fun working on a scene and get the best out of you without the pressures of ‘standing out’ or the only focus being the end result)
Process goals vs outcome goals
Sides/script analysis that focus on the craft and not the ‘need to impress’. (Instead of trying to ‘stand out’, let’s impress with you keen eye for detail, thought out work and impressive performance!)
…and so much more!
why me?
Some acting coaches sell themselves with their credits and primarily the acting work they’ve done. I know that actors are more than just their resumé, and their resumé doesn’t represent all they offer. In some cases, some of the most valuable advice I’ve passed on to people has come from the times I haven’t been working. Because 98% of us find ourselves there often! On this page I wanted to show my approach, being an actor myself, who knows all that the life of an actor entails.
But, of course, you want to be confident that I know what I’m talking about when it does come to acting!
I grew up performing on stage any chance I could get including the London Palladium, RSC’s Dell Theatre and my local Everyman. I got my first TV credit aged 16 in Skins which gave me the taste for screen work. Since graduating drama school in 2013 I have worked in TV and film, both in the UK and North America. I’ve also written and produced my own work, so have insight into many facets of screen work.

how do the sessions work?
I am currently in Vancouver so if you are Vancouver based we can work on self tapes etc in person. Most actors I work with are UK based so generally sessions are remote, online. Get in touch using the contact form or by booking in a time and I will be in touch as soon as possible! For career consultancy/chats I will send you a form beforehand to fill out. This is so that when the session starts we can get right into the nitty gritty and not waste time going through the basics. I will also send you follow up notes of what was covered in the session. For acting coaching/self taping/audition prep, please send me the sides/scene you want to work on once we have confirmed a session.
