'From Page To Screen'

DATES TBC

COMING SOON!

A 4 week screen-acting course with a limited number of actors to ensure quality 1-1 scene workshopping.

WEEK ONE: Table Read
Experience a table read of a TV episode where casting of characters will change throughout, giving you the opportunity to read for different parts.

WEEK TWO: Scene work
Enhance your text analysis skills and character building technique by working on a scene from the project used for the table read, receiving 1-1 guidance and the chance to learn from watching others, too.

WEEK THREE: Self Tape analysis
Putting a scene on tape in between week two and three means that this session can be spent reviewing each self tape, receiving notes, and further working on the scene. You’ll learn self taping tips and tricks, and find the fun and freedom in taping.

WEEK FOUR: Final self tape review
Actors will put their scene on tape for a final time in their own time, to be reviewed during the final session. This session will also cover general industry insight, any screen acting or taping questions actors may have, and a recap of what has been covered.

There will be a maximum of just 6 actors.

Working with Alexa both online and in the room has left me feeling far more hopeful and powerful as a human being and actor than I used to. Alexa’s approach to the craft and the industry is understanding, motivating and playful. My only regret is not discovering Alexa and her work sooner!
— Heather, workshop attendee and AWA client

This course is designed for actors who have some form of previous actor training, and experience, and are looking to deepen their craft, sharpen their instincts, and gain practical tools for both performance and the industry. It is not a course for beginners, but rather a space for those who already have a foundation in acting and want to refine their skills in a supportive, professional environment.

At AWA, the focus is on personalized, person-centered training that empowers actors to trust their unique artistic voice. This course is ideal for actors who want to re-fall in love with the art of acting, gain confidence in their process, and develop a more instinctive, adaptable approach to acting - whether for auditions, self-tapes, or live performance.

If you’re ready to move beyond rigid "right or wrong" thinking and into a freer, more fulfilling way of working, this course is for you!
